We have some exciting news to share with you! On June 20, the San Antonio Business Journal announced the honorees of the 2023 Women’s Leadership Awards. And this list of amazing female honorees includes our very own Dr. Tracy Board. All of us at Audicles Hearing Services are over the moon with excitement for Dr. Board!
Dr. Board is a leader in and out of our clinic. When she’s not seeing adult and pediatric patients here at Audicles Hearing Services, she works directly with state and national organizations to advocate for her patients and to improve audiological healthcare in Texas and beyond.
We’re so proud of Dr. Board and grateful for everything she’s accomplished. This nomination is well deserved!
What Are the Women’s Leadership Awards?
Each year, the San Antonio Business Journal honors dynamic female leaders who are nominated by their peers for their contributions to their organizations. These incredible women are making a difference in the San Antonio community by embodying leadership qualities that better the lives of those around them.

The awards’ event took place on Thursday, August 10, at the Norris Conference Centers.
Why Women’s Leadership Matters
Historically, women have faced more barriers than men when it comes to being successful in business. The “glass ceiling” is a very real thing. According to Forbes, only 10 percent of Fortune 500 companies have female CEOs. And though progress has been made over the years, the world needs more women leaders.
Studies show that organizations with gender diversity among their senior leadership outperform those that lack gender diversity. Women are passionate, creative, and driven. Research has actually shown that female leaders show up more effectively than their male counterparts across every management level. This is in part because female leaders create strong connections. They’re passionate about mentoring and developing others, caring for their communities, and contributing to the greater good.
If we continue to highlight the importance of women leaders, positive changes will continue to be made. Businesses will be better for it, and the world will be better for it years down the road.
